“In Erma’ s room, all that is left of all the presences who have passed by are the essential movements of contraction and expansion, here portrayed by actors wearing “introverted” masks. These masks do no function as a way of revealing what one is, but as a medium of entering into the history of places with eyes devoid of holes: the view to gather is not from the exterior, but it is all internal.”
